Four Letter Word

Exploring Culture and Innovation

Debuting in January 2012 with “Nerd Night a Night out for Nerds,” Four Letter Word was an experiment in multimedia storytelling that featured a rotating series of multimedia features that explored culture and innovation in the Greater Boston area and beyond.

The project evolved over the years and Four Letter Word served as both a platform for experimentation and education as well as a forum for engaging with local innovators and artists and creating stories about how their projects were enhancing the community.. Covering everything from the creative to the arcane features included video, audio, interviews, listicles, opinion pieces, previews, photo galleries and even guest collaborations. Some of the most popular features produced included, “Ca$h for your Warhol: The Evolution of a Prank,” “Decentralized Dance Party Boston” “Descience: Research on the Runway” and “Sightings: A Crypto Zoology Themed Art Show.” Four Letter Word reached thousands of people from more than 120 countries worldwide with more than 40 different features produced over its five years in production.
